Main ingredients of silicon rods

Silicon rods are mainly composed of silicon, chemical symbol Si, which is the second most abundant element in the earth's crust. High-purity silicon is its main raw material, and sometimes it is obtained by purifying silicon compounds. In addition to the main silicon element, other elements or compounds may be added to silicon rods to improve material properties, such as pure aluminum oxide (Al2O3) or silicon nitride (Si3N4), to enhance the hardness, corrosion resistance, thermal stability and thermal conductivity of silicon rods.
